During Partition the original metal idol was taken to Kumortuli in Kolkata, and a replica is worshipped at the Dhaka temple. It is also counted among the Shakta pithas, where, by tradition, a jewel from Sati's crown fell. (Source: Wikipedia, Dhakeshwari Temple)
